Invite yourself to examine your inners,
gaze deep into your spine and depths,
look hasteningly at the greatest fear,
of all men.
* That you are not as becoming, as dignified,
* as cavalier, as you dream yourself to be.
Admonish yourself for seeing “me & only me”
& simultaneously, admire your merit, your dignity
embrace your pleasure that grows
in your simply living; Hold fast to that self, that image.
Everyman has it & everyman will fight
to hold it fast.
